If you were to die today, where would you spend eternity? Someday, you are going to leave this world, but you do not know when! You CAN know that you are going to Heaven. To be prepared for Heaven, you need a new life. John 3:3 says, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Through the wonderful grace of God, your sins can be forgiven and your past life blotted out. Christ died on a cross to provide salvation as a free gift. There is absolutely nothing you must do of yourself--you cannot be good, be baptized, go to church. It must only and simply be received by faith. Are you tired of your sins? Your purposelessness? Your frustrations? Your emptiness? Jesus Christ can fill the void in your life, but the choice is yours. Jesus said, "Him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6:37) It doesn't matter what you have done nor how good you are. Beware of Satan's "DETOURS;" however attractive they may look they are always "DEAD ENDS." If you want to get to heaven from where you are, you must be on the right road! You are at the crossroad right now, and God gives you the choice. John 1:12 "As many as received him (Jesus Christ), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Today, why not make your choice and call upon the Lord. You can pray right now and invite Jesus into your life; then you will know you are on the right road to Heaven from where you are. What must you do to make that choice? First, admit that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Because we are sinners, we don't deserve God's love. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Without salvation, we are bound for Hell. But there is good news! Romans 5:8 says, "But God commends his love toward us, in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us." And why did God give His only Son to die for us? John 3:16, "For God so LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." God sent Jesus to die on the cross to pay for the penalty of our sin because He loves us so much. All we must do is come to God asking forgiveness of our sin and believing in Jesus' work on the cross as our substitute.
