Youth

In recent churches have finally realised the importance of the Notice and Poster Board. The Notice Board is not just a useful place to advertise meeting but is great place to display posters that will get people talking and get folk thinking. Here are some great examples of people currently being used outside of churches.

Free Trip to heaven. Details Inside!

Searching for a new look? Have your faith lifted here!

One ad for a Church has a picture of two hands holding stone tablets on which the Ten Commandments are inscribed and a headline that reads, "For fast, fast, fast relief, take two tablets.

When the restaurant next to the Church put out a big sign that said, "Open Sundays," the church reciprocated with its own message: "We are open on Sundays, too."

Having trouble sleeping? We have sermons -- come hear one!

Come in and pray today. Beat the Christmas rush!

Sign broken. Message inside this Sunday.

Come work for the Lord. The work is hard, the hours are long and the pay is low. But the retirement benefits are out of this world.

If you're headed in the wrong direction, God allows U-turns

The wages of sin is death. Repent before payday

Students across the World will shortly be breaking up for their Easter Holiday, a last chance to have a break before end of year final exams. I had a great time at college and although its' been 22 years since I left I can still remember many of the things that went on as if it happened yesterday. I was an entertainer before I went to college and it took me a little while to learn when and when not to crack a joke!

On my first night the Dean of Students addressed the boys and said; 'Right lads, we had some problems last year with boys on the girls' floor after hours, I don't want it happening this year, therefore I am introducing a deterrent! If you are caught on the girl's floor after lights out, then the first time I'll fine you 10 pounds. If you are caught a second time then I will fine you 20 pounds and if you are caught there a third time then I'll fine you 30 pounds. Now are there any questions?' I raised my hand and said, 'yes, how much for a season ticket?'

At all my Comic Belief presentations I love to share this poem written by Digby Wolfe.

It first came to my attention in an email from Mark Lowry.

The Kids Who Are Different.

Here's to the kids who are different,

The kids who don't always get A's.

The kids who have ears twice the size of their peers,

And noses that go on for days.

Here's to the kids who are different,

The kids they call crazy and dumb.

The kids who aren't cute and don't give a hoot,

Who dance to a different drum.

Here's to the kids who are different,

The kids with the mischievous streak.

For when they have grown,

As history's shown,

It's their difference that makes them unique.
